Speaking
Grief & Resilience Keynote
Arik Housley turns one of life’s hardest losses into a message of hope, resilience, and post-traumatic growth.
As the author of the Amazon-bestselling book Always November and founder of Alaina’s Voice Foundation, he brings an authentic, deeply human perspective to audiences at corporate events, schools and universities, conferences, and faith communities.
The Story Behind the Message
In 2018, Arik Housley lost his daughter Alaina in the Borderline Bar & Grill mass shooting. Rather than retreat from public life, he chose to turn unimaginable grief into a mission — writing Always November: Lessons in Loss, Love, and Resilience, founding Alaina’s Voice Foundation, and speaking to audiences around the country about how to carry loss without losing hope. His work has been featured by Pepperdine University, and he continues to speak, write, and advocate in Alaina’s memory.
Arik doesn’t offer platitudes. His talks are built from lived experience — honest, specific, and immediately usable — which is why they resonate as strongly with a boardroom of executives as they do with a room of students or a congregation.
